I did not know it was so easy to make homemade Jello.
I never really makethe other stuff before, since it seems to be filled with artificial colors and flavors.
There is also a small secret I will share with you. I don’t even like Jello. I guess that is why I rarely ever make it. It just doesn’t seem to cross my mind. My kids love it. Now I have a quick and easy way to makehealthyhomemade Jello that is also good for them. This girl is pretty excited about this homemade recipe.
I love to make foodhomemade or from scratch. There is so much science in cooking. That just fascinates me. One thing that makes this recipe so neat, is it starts as a liquid and then it turns into a wiggly jiggly solid. There are also so many great health benefits to good grass fed gelatin. This will now be in our rotation for quick and easy treats.

Ingredients for Homemade Jello
1 Cup 100% all natural Juice*
1 tablespoon Gelatin
Supplies Needed
Glass dish<-like this one (affiliate link)
Increase these as many cups of Jello you would like to make.
*(note: Pineapple does not work, since it breaks down theproteins in thegelatin)
Directions on how to make homemade Jello
1. Measure the juice and pour it in to a pot. Do not turn on the burner just yet.
2. Next measure the gelatin and slowly stir adding it to the pot. Make sure the gelatin has been dissolved in the juice while the juice is still cool. I have tried letting it heat up then pour in the gelatin and I always get lumps of gelatin that need to be dissolved. It is much easier to dissolve while the liquid is cool. Trust me.
3. Heat the mixture just until it starts to boil. You will start to see little tiny bubbles coming up. That is when you know to turn off the heat.
4. Use funmoldslike these, cups, or glass dishto pour the fruit juice gelatin into. If using molds, then you should spray them with oil so the gelatin is easy to get out. Then simply set inside your refrigerator and wait. This recipe is good to make at night, so it will be ready the next day.
Seriously, it is that easy and quick to make homemade Jello. Who knew it was this easy? Just note do not try using fresh pineapple juice, since it breaks down the proteins in the gelatin and you will still be left with juice. Try to experiment with 100% juices or even fresh homemade juices for a great healthy snack for your kids.
